Range of bellows suction pads
Bellows suction pads consist of vacuum suction cups (elastomer part) with one or more folds. Bellows suction cups are available in an oval or round designs. In addition to bellows suction pads, Schmalz offers a wide range of flat suction cups.
Bellows suction cups are selected based on their bellows. Thanks to the bellows, the vacuum suction cup can be positioned on the workplace extremely gently. The bellows suction pad cushions the vacuum system, which protects the workpiece. The bellows also make the suction cup particularly flexible and adaptable. In addition, some inaccuracies such as height differences or unevenness can be easily compensated with the bellows suction pad.
As soon as the bellows suction pad is placed on the workpiece, the sealing lip seals the vacuum suction cup. The air can then be sucked out of the vacuum suction cup. The bellows suction pad contracts and the workpiece is lifted (lifting effect). This effect is used, for example, when a workpiece has to be lifted out of a mold or stacked using a suction cup.
Bellows suction pads are often used in packaging processes. These vacuum suction cups are suitable for handling non-rigid workpieces such as products packaged in film. However, electronic components are also handled with bellows suction pads. The gentle damping effect is particularly useful in this application. Compensating for heights and careful handling is required when moving uneven car body parts or pipes and cardboard boxes.
Vacuum grippers are either inserted directly into the gripping system or screwed into the gripping system using a connection element. Together with the connection element, the bellows suction cup (elastomer part) becomes a bellows vacuum gripper.
